Mission Statement

Good Game, 501c3 was founded on the desire to serve the disenfranchised youth in our community by focusing on recreational development. The most vulnerable youth today is seven years and younger, unknowingly involved in an unhealthy social bias. By providing recreational events, clinics, trainings, support and information we hope that our youth will have less financial strain. Achieving our goal includes offering sporting events, hosting trainings in recreational operations for teens [14+] and developing sports referee [15+]. Good Game does solely focus on disenfranchised youth recreational development in hopes for a better and brighter future for the next generation.

What is Good Game?

We are a community of people that are interested in the wellbeing of our youth. Our dedication to the disadvantaged youth starts with an education-based foundation. Our recreation skills-training adds confidence to all that participate. Sport help players relieve the stresses of life, gives them an outlet, and allows connection to others.

At Good Game, we believe that sports play an important role in the lives of young people and that’s why we’re dedicated to helping communities support their local teams and programs through our fundraising machine.

We work with the youth adaptive sports program at Rancho Los Amigos Rehabilitation Hospital in Downey, California. Duyen Nguyen

As a licensed therapist, Duyen’s passion has been to work with the youth; to help them find a path that is right for them, to provide them a safe space to deal with all that comes with being a kid, and to empower them to become advocates for others in need. She is excited to see what Good Game can do for our community and how we can impact our youth community and families in need. Good Game is not just a place for sports; it's a place for kids to learn how to express themselves and prevent future mental health issues.

Duyen has been the focal point of youth-based wellbeing. Her project Ending Violence in Every Relationship has been enacted throughout Southern California High Schools, working directly with the youth. She is about prevention rather than damage control. Her data and feedback have allowed an educated youth to understand what a healthy relationship is.

Christopher Nuanes

With over 15 years of experience in Recreation and Parks, Christopher's background has been nothing but unique. He made his start as a Teen Club counselor and understanding the value of youth safe spaces. The transition into the sports department allowed for the recognition of sports-based relief, so naturally he began building sports programming for multiple recreation centers. These experiences have driven Christoper to launch Good Game Project Incorporated to which his goals and vision for this organization include a Southern California showdown series partnership with Rancho Los Amigos Rehabilitation Hospital youth adaptive sports program.
Christopher has made various connections in the community and has built a reputation for his ability to develop, organize, and manage different sporting events. He is driven to serve the youth community. To give them a chance in thriving physically, mentally, and vocationally.
